Nia Archives, widely considered one of the UK’s most promising up and coming musicians, is incorporating elements of soundsystem culture, jungle, reggae, pop and R&B to create nostalgic sounds for fans of 1990s/00s music, as well as energetic DIY tracks for a social media generation.
The Bradford born, Leeds raised producer, singer, songwriter and visual artist taught herself how to produce at the age of 16, and went on to release music on her own record label, HIJINXX. The 22 year old was presented with the inaugural Best Producer gong at the NME Awards in March, and accepted claiming ‘It doesn’t matter who you are, it doesn’t matter where you come from, you can do whatever you like and you can make something of yourself’, before the release of her Forbidden Feelingz EP.
